Pro Wrestling Ponderings- State of ROH

In over two hours, Kevin and I discussed the state of Ring of Honor. There are three files included as part of this podcast. Keep in mind that all of this was recorded before the matches for KENTA were announced. I think you’ll find that everyone was deadly accurate with their predictions.

In Part I, Kevin and I talk about our foundation as ROH fans as well as discussing the peak of our fandom. You’ll find some similarities there. We also talk about why Jerry Lynn as world champion is bad for business and how the pursuit of the casual fan might be the death of the company.

In Part II, Kevin and Jerome are joined by Ari Berenstein of 411mania’s “Column of Honor.” Ari talks about his roots as an ROH fan that go back almost to the beginning. He also sheds a more positive light on a few issues and also provides a good analogy of the three different timelines ROH is currently dealing with right now.

In Part III, Kevin and Jerome are joined by Alan4L of the “Dr. Keith” show. He adds a little international flavor as he goes over his experiences as an ROH fan from a non-American perspective. Hear why he isn’t as interested in the product as a year ago and why he thinks the company may not survive into 2010.
