Hey, Randy Levine — Shut up!

New York Yankees president Randy Levine is a jerk who needs to keep his mouth shut.

Levin reacted in a rather strong way after MLS commissioner
Don Garber commented about the Yankees not being able to sell
their most expensive seats at the new stadium.

“Don Garber discussing Yankee attendance must be a joke,” Levine said. “We draw more people in a year than his entire league does in a year. If he ever gets Major League Soccer into the same time zone as the Yankees, we might take him seriously.

“Hey Don, worry about (David) Beckham, not the Yankees. Even he wants out of your league,” Levine added.

There’s was no word if the Yanks’ prez was hyperventilating or needed oxygen after his tantrum. Chill out, Randy.

Anyway, exactly what were the comments that set off the excitable Levine in the first place?

“It’s incomprehensible that you watch a game, and there will be front-row seats empty,” Garber said.

Perhaps Garber was out of place to speak about the Yankees’
attendance, but why should Levine care that much?

Frankly, he comes across as a bully being overly defensive, but it’s reflects the arrogant manner in which the Yankees sometimes do business. It’s like ‘How dare you question us’?

(We’re not talking about manager Joe Girardi and general manager Brian Cashman — two guys whom we like as individuals even if we don’t always agree with their moves).

Of course, Levine formerly worked with another blowhard, Rudy Giuliani, in the New York mayor’s office. Well, that explains it.
