Gun Used at McNair Murder Scene Purchased Recently by Kazemi

The pieces of the murder of Steve McNair continue to come out, and today it is being reported by the Tennessean that the gun that was used in the murder over the weekend was recently purchased by McNair’s 20-year-old girlfriend, Sahel “Jenny’ Kazemi. Here is the latest on that from the Tennessean:

The gun recovered at the scene of the deaths of Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi was purchased by Kazemi recently, Metro police have confirmed.

Kazemi, 20, died Saturday of a single gunshot to the head alongside former Titans quarterback McNair, who had two gunshots to the head and two to the chest. The gun was found under Kazemi’s body.

“We believe the pistol recovered from the apartment was purchased by Kazemi,” Metro spokesman Don Aaron said.

Police said the possibility of a murder-suicide is still on the table, but there are several other theories of the crime still possible.

Kazemi’s ex-boyfriend, Keith Norfleet, was questioned for several hours by police yesterday. Aaron said he is not a suspect, and there are still no suspects being actively pursued.

While no one is confirming it, this development points more and more to the murder being part of a murder-suicide involving McNair and Kazemi.
