Reports: Whitehurst Done Deal for Seattle
Both ESPN and ProFootballTalk report that the deal between the San Diego Chargers and the Seattle Seahawks for third-string quarterback Charlie Whitehurst is complete. Both media outlets report that the Seahawks will fall 20 spots in the second round of this year’s N.F.L. Draft, as the Chargers and the Seahawks swapped their second-round selections as a part of the deal. Seattle [read more...]
From Chicago, to New Orleans, to the Super Bowl
Gab reader Michael Masson sent in this interesting piece leading up to Super Sunday: Saturday. I pack my #57 Rickey Jackson jersey with pride and care, and walk to my car on a cold Chicago morning. When I pull up to my brother’s house a few blocks away, we exchange cautiously optimistic looks. We’ve been in this position before. We all have, [read more...]

The early line is in, and if all goes as they say, Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts will have another Super Bowl trophy under their belts. When everyone reminded the Cowboys how badly they were beaten last December by the Eagles, the very team they will have to [read more...]
The Gab’s Mid-Season Quarterback Rankings
A few days ago, I did an article on the top 12 Quarterbacks according to the ESPN. After I posted this critique, I found myself second guessing many of the picks. So I decided to come up with my own version of the top QB’s from the 1st half of the season. Obviously, the subject is subjective, and probably few [read more...]
The Numbers in Cleveland Are Screaming for Change
I’ve changed the television I watch the games on, the remote I change the channel with, the clothes I wear during the games, absolutely everything. I’ve tried it all as a Cleveland Browns fan and I’m finally starting to see that my superstitions have no say in how effective the team is on the field. Peer into the [read more...]
