The LT Saga comes to a close in the Big Apple

The latest topic hitting the Big Apple like a speeding bullet is that of the Jets newest running back – LaDainian Tomlinson. The question is, was this a good move by the Jets. Answer, of course it was. I know, I know, he did nothing last year and Thomas Jones did so much more, but the fact is Jones was owed [read more...]

Former Chargers RB Tomlinson joins the Jets with a two-year deal

The Jets led the league in rushing last year, and today they have added another threat in the backfield, as they have inked former Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson to a two-year deal. “He wanted to go to a team that he thought had a chance to compete for the championship,” L.T. agent Tom Condon told The Associated [read more...]

More evidence that Favre will be a Viking again in 2010

It only took me a few days after the NFC Championship game to make my Brett Favre prediction. He is coming back. That may or may not hold true, but a recent report certainly goes a long ways towards solidifying that notion. Newsday’s Bob Glauber reports that the Vikings used Brett Favre as a recruitment tool when it came to [read more...]

No deals involving the Vikings for now

According to Access Vikings, Jimmy Kennedy left Buffalo without signing a deal yet. This could be a good sign for the Vikings who, by all appearances, would still like to retain the defensive tackle.  Kennedy has expressed interest in both winning a championship and being a starter.  With the Vikings remaining on top of the NFC hopefuls [read more...]

Browns visit with former Raiders RB Justin Fargas

The Browns are still looking at options at the running back spot, this despite a strong end of the year for Jerome Harrison. The team today talked to QB Jake Delhomme, but they also made time for a visit with former Raiders running back Justin Fargas, who was dumped after failing a physical by the team last week: Free agent [read more...]

Could the Vikings really trade RB Adrian Peterson?

Nothing makes me worry about the state of public education more than reading comments from football fans on some of the bigger sites out there.  I guess not every blog can have a group of such well-informed and reasonable readers as this one does. I bring this up right now because I have noticed quite a few Vikings fans calling for [read more...]

Jets still have plenty of offseason needs to fill

The Jets may have made the AFC Championship Game this past season, but their regular season record was 9-7. If they want to take the next step they have a number of holes to fill on the team. They started off the off-season by trading for Antonio Cromartie, filling their need of a number two corner to play opposite Darrelle Revis. However, there [read more...]

Saints come to terms with Leckey, Prioleau

The Saints today agreed to one-year free-agent contracts with offensive lineman Nick Leckey and safety Pierson Prioleau. General manager Mickey Loomis announced the deals on Saturday without disclosing financial terms. Both players had signed one-year deals with the Saints last season and played reserve roles on New Orleans’ first Super Bowl championship team. Leckey, a 6-foot-3, 291-pound, six-year veteran, played in [read more...]

Ravens make a deal with Arizona for WR Anquan Boldin

This just in as reported by the Baltimore Sun: It is believed the Ravens sent third- and fourth-round picks to the Cardinals in exchange for Anquan Boldin and a fifth-round pick. According to ESPN, Boldin has agreed to a new four-year, $28 million contract. It is believed the Ravens beat out the Kansas City Chiefs for the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver. Boldin, [read more...]

Carolina releases Quarterback Jake Delhomme

Two years ago the Carolina Panthers won the NFC South and were well on their way to making a splash in the playoffs. Then disaster struck when QB Jake Delhomme had one of the worst games of his career in that playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals. Despite that, he got a huge deal that offseason, only this past year [read more...]
