Bears DE Adams had alcohol, marijuana in his system at time of death
The sad circumstances of Gaines Adams’ sudden death have been released, and there are more disturbing trends around it. A Somewhat Quiet Week in Bear Country
There is not a lot of activity going on in Bears Nation this week. Aside from the devastating news of the passing of Gaines Adams, and the Bears interviewing Mike DeBord for the Tight Ends coaching position, not much else is happening. That is what is disturbing. There is no long line of candidates for either of the coordinator positions that [read more...]

What Bears Fans Hope They Don’t see During the Bears-Packers game #178
As tempting as it would be to add more fuel to the Cowher for coach or Weis/Martz for OC next season, it is after all Packers week…not to mention stop 1 of 4 on the Ron Turner Farewell Tour. So in honor of our friend, Ron, here are some mostly offensive related things I hope I don’t see on Sunday, [read more...]
Thoughts From the Bears Beating in Minnesota 36-10
With the taste of today’s Purple Pounding still fresh in my mouth, I had to share my growing list of frustrations with the rest of Bears Nation. Okay people, let the healing begin… When your pass rush can’t rush the passer and your O-line can’t open a running lane or protect your franchise QB, you’re in trouble. Good teams are built [read more...]

But that doesn’t mean the team that’s (a) struggled to run the ball against the league’s worst run defense (Cleveland) and (b) been run over by the team with the worst run offense (Cardinals) the last [read more...]
Bears Trade for Adams Addresses Big Offseason Priority
So the wheelin’-and-dealin’ Jerry Angelo strikes again. On Friday, the Bears acquired Tampa defensive end Gaines Adams for a 2010 2nd round pick. While I was initially surprised we parted with our first pick in next year’s draft (the 1st rounder is headed to Denver), the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. I mentioned in an [read more...]

Gridiron Gab Breakdown: NFC South
Atlanta Falcons Offense: Matt Ryan was exceptional in his rookie season, taking home R.O.Y. honors, as well as leading the Falcons to the playoffs.
