Lions with interest in former Browns QB Derek Anderson?

MLive.com reports that the Lions are not pursuing Lito Sheppard.  I’m not sure if he was a fallback plan in case the Houston trade didn’t pan out or if the report of the Lions interest was erroneous. In other news, the Browns have decided to release Derek Anderson, as expected, rather than pay his roster bonus that is due in a few days.  [read more...]

Browns interested in former Texans starting QB David Carr

There’s options out there for the Browns when it comes to bringing in a quarterback, and one guy that the team has some interest in is former Texans starter and now backup for the Giants David Carr. The reports are saying that Carr is on the Browns list, as well as Seahawks backup Seneca Wallace: New Cleveland Browns boss [read more...]

Will Matt Leinart keep the Cardinals flying high as their new QB?

He was the 10th overall pick of the 2006 draft, but for QB Matt Leinart, it finally appears his time to be a starting QB in the NFL is here. With Kurt Warner retiring, the keys to a high powered offense in Arizona is now in the hands of Leinart. The bigger question now is – will he [read more...]

2010 Mock Draft 1

While the battle for every analyst is between Ndamukong Suh and one of the elite quarterbacks, for us, it’s between which quarterback the Rams will choose.Suh would be great, don’t get us wrong. But last time we checked, defensive tackles don’t rise horrible teams from the bottom of their division and help them win Super Bowls. Franchise quarterbacks do.We’re still [read more...]

Arizona Cardinals 2009 Season in Review

The 2009 Arizona Cardinals were a difficult team to gauge at times. Their season consisted of a list of “did” and “did not” moments. For instance, they didn’t reach the Super Bowl for a second straight year, but they did win their second straight NFC West division title. They didn’t come close to playing championship defense during the postseason, [read more...]

Rodgers Exploits Cardinals’ Secondary, Packers Win Big 33-7

Two playoff teams. Both with their playoff fates determined. Interestingly enough, the Green Bay Packers, in their game Sunday agaisnt the Arizona Cardinals, opted to use most of their regulars while the Cards used their reserve players for the most part. The strategy on the Packers’ behalf worked very well as Aaron Rodgers played three efficient quarters, throwing and rushing [read more...]

Waiver Wire Week 13

Believe it or not, whether you’re 11-0 or 5-6 at this point in the season, searching for and finding gems on the waiver wire never gets old. At least it shouldn’t, not if you’re as dedicated to fantasy football success as we are. The names won’t blow you away, but there are at least a couple of guys at each position [read more...]

Young Pulls Off a Crazy Final Drive as Titans Top Cardinals 20-17

In a sort of replay of the Rose Bowl from 2006, Vince Young once again outdueled Matt Leinart, and again did it in dramatic fashion as the Titans beat the Arizona Cardinals 20-17. It’s the first time that a team that started 0-6 has won five straight, but that’s exactly what the Titans have done since starting the season [read more...]

What’s the Raiders Next Move at QB?

A QB that can make reads, convert 3rd downs to win the field position battle, give its defense a rest, and force the opposing teams to take chances versus going with a vanilla offense gives any team a possibility. Bruce Gradkowski showed on Sunday that the Raiders, as constructed, are able to compete against anyone in the NFL. [read more...]

Rams Outpaced by Arizona in 21-13 Loss

The St. Louis Rams were pounded into the ground by the Arizona Cardinals in a very frustrating afternoon at the Edward Jones Dome. The Cardinals were able to do anything they wanted on offense in the first half, and that was all the points they needed to defeat the punch-less St. Louis Rams. For the second week in a row, [read more...]
