Detroit Lions Free Agent Target List

Every offseason I approach my free agent and draft board as if I were a member of the Lions front office.  I try to factor in resources, time limits and other teams interest in my free agent rankings.  I don’t take the Madden approach where I just target the best players out there and gradually work my way down the [read more...]

Bengals WR Ochocinco Added to the Pro Bowl Roster

The Bengals have a pro bowler after all. With injuries to starting AFC WR Wes Welker (Patriots), and first alternate WR Randy Moss (Patriots), second alternate Chad Ochocinco got the call. Per Bengals.com’s Geoff Hobson, Ochocinco said, “This is great news!” and made sure to thank Cedric Benson, the offensive line, and Carson Palmer for helping him obtain the recognition. Ochocinco finished the [read more...]

Were the Patriots Abducted by Aliens?

After years of skepticism, I finally have proof that alien abduction exists – Sunday’s Patriots/Ravens debacle. The Ravens showed up and so did the Body Snatchers, cleverly disguised as Our Boys. However, the clues were there to be seen. Does anyone actually believe that was the real Tom Brady out there on the field, lobbing interception after turn-over? [read more...]

Patriots At A Cross-Road, Where Do They Go From Here?

Were you truly expecting the Patriots to win the game at Gillette Stadium on Sunday? New England looked dazed and confused as they lost to the Baltimore Ravens by a final score of 33-14. It would turn out to be a one-and-done Post Season for the AFC East Division winners. I do have to admit I was awed by how [read more...]

Texans Late Come Back Gives Houston First Winning Season Beat Patriots 34-27

This was not the way that the New England Patriots wanted to end the NFL regular season with a key player injured and another melt-down of the club’s defense in the fourth quarter. The Houston Texans scored three touchdowns within the last 10 minutes of play and defeated the New England Patriots Sunday at Reliant Stadium by a final score [read more...]

Pro Bowl Snubs

The Pro Bowl teams were recently announced, and to be honest there were several players that were considered shoo-ins that didn’t make the cut. Some omissions were simply due to depth at the position, while some seem like glaring omissions, so let’s get down to it.AFCBen Roethlisberger is always mentioned this time of year, and with 4100+ yards this year, [read more...]
