Bills sign ILB Andra Davis and DE Dwan Edwards

For almost two weeks into free agency, the Buffalo Bills were less than active.  We’ve seen more signs of spring lately than we have of the Bills improving the roster.  And for a team and fan base embarking on a decade long playoff drought to go along with another rebuilding project, it takes a considerably less amount of time these days [read more...]

Mike Bell has reportedly signed an offer sheet with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to his agent Josh Luchs. The contract, worth $1.7 million, of which $500,000 is guaranteed, is for one year. The LT Saga comes to a close in the Big Apple

The latest topic hitting the Big Apple like a speeding bullet is that of the Jets newest running back – LaDainian Tomlinson. The question is, was this a good move by the Jets. Answer, of course it was. I know, I know, he did nothing last year and Thomas Jones did so much more, but the fact is Jones was owed [read more...]

Redskins with decisions to make in terms of “old” running backs

The Redskins have a choice to make for themselves, and it amounts to this: Do we want two 30 year old running backs in decline on our 53 man roster next year? After releasing Ladell Betts last week, I have to think that the Redskins have made up their minds that they are committed to going younger and will look to draft [read more...]

Could the Vikings really trade RB Adrian Peterson?

Nothing makes me worry about the state of public education more than reading comments from football fans on some of the bigger sites out there.  I guess not every blog can have a group of such well-informed and reasonable readers as this one does. I bring this up right now because I have noticed quite a few Vikings fans calling for [read more...]

Jets still have plenty of offseason needs to fill

The Jets may have made the AFC Championship Game this past season, but their regular season record was 9-7. If they want to take the next step they have a number of holes to fill on the team. They started off the off-season by trading for Antonio Cromartie, filling their need of a number two corner to play opposite Darrelle Revis. However, there [read more...]

Detroit Lions Free Agent Target List

Every offseason I approach my free agent and draft board as if I were a member of the Lions front office.  I try to factor in resources, time limits and other teams interest in my free agent rankings.  I don’t take the Madden approach where I just target the best players out there and gradually work my way down the [read more...]

The Redskins have spoken about wanting to keep QB Jason Campbell in the fold, and they took another step in making that happen on Wednesday, placing a first round tender on the soon-to-be restricted free agent. A first-round tender for a player that has been in the league five years, like Campbell, is generally around $2.621 million dollars. However, Campbell carries [read more...]
