Game 159. KC at Yanks. Last home game of the regular season. KC 4-3.

YANKEES (102-56)  +8 on Pythagorean. OPS+ 120, but here is what is most exciting…ERA+ 105. I believe that is the highest it has been all year.                BA-HR-RBI-SB/SB attempts-OPS+ and comments. * team leader, ** league leader Jeter SS .333*-17-65-30*/35*-127    2743 and counting Damon LF .281-24-79-12/12-122 Teixeira 1B .295-39**-121**-2/2-148* Rodriguez 3B .286-28-93-14/16-142   581* hr Matsui DH .278-28-90-0/1-131 Posada C .290-22-81-1/1-134 Cano 2B .322-25-85-5/12-127 (do not give him the steal sign) Swisher RF [read more...]

Back in Business! Let’s catch up on Games 157 and 158.

Game 157. KC @ Yankees.

Wrap it up, I’ll take it. Yanks weekend sweep of Boston (4-2) clinches East, best record. Win #100.

Yes, I’m home. I called in and had to take a day. The shoulder was killing me and I didn’t feel too well. I know you probably aren’t buying it. True, though. I spent the afternoon half asleep with an ice pack on the shoulder. So I did catch the Yanks clinching the division and best record in the AL with win #100 [read more...]
