Seriously? Doug Collins

The Boston Celtics are dealing with the pesky Detroit Pistons in a tough series. The Los Angeles Lakers are on the path to yet another championship. Now Doug Collins could become the Chicago Bulls head coach within the next couple days. We're apparently turning back the clock to the 1980s now. All we need is CBS to start doing games [read more...]

Two Rush Linemen Receive Extensions

The Chicago Rush has signed defensive lineman Joe Peters and offensive lineman Robert Boss to two-year contract extensions through the 2010 season, the team announced today. My Reaction: Stability for  the Chicago Rush is a fantastic idea, especially for two guys who have been proven to be valuable additions to this team. Peters specifically has been one of the real anchors [read more...]

Rush In a Must Win…Sort Of

You never want to say a team that's 9-3 and has clinched the Central Division is in a must-win, but with four games remaining, the Rush need to gain momentum before the playoffs. Also, in order for them to gain homefield, they must win two more games, have the San Jose Sabercats lose two games or some sort of combination. The [read more...]

The White Sox Starring Carlos Quentin

The White Sox managed to avoid a sweep by the Los Angeles Angels thanks to a fantastic effort from Jose Contreras, who continues to show the same flashes of brilliance as he did in 2005, and Carlos Quentin. Quentin continues to be one of the biggest finds in this offseason for Kenny Williams. Williams had taken a lot of deserved shots [read more...]

First Take: Rush vs. Blaze

You might notice how little I'm going to talk about the actual game. The Chicago Rush did indeed lose a very tough ballbgame to the Utah Blaze 51-48 on a tough last second kick. The Rush came back from a 21 point deficit to actually tie the game in the fourth quarter. But as it was said by Coach Mike [read more...]

No One’s Excited for the Rush

While reading a story about Avery Johnson being interested in the Bulls' job... hmm, I wonder if getting the number one pick influenced his decision, they had a poll question asking which Chicago team you're most excited about. The Cubs, Sox, Blackhawks, Bulls, Sky, Fire, Wolves, and the Rush were listed. Despite a Rush division title and eight straight playoff [read more...]

Finding a Way to Win

I don't know if anyone realizes this, but the Chicago White Sox have won eight in a row and are in first place. Granted, they're in a weak division, but no one was complaining when the Cubs were winning the far weaker National League Central. After Minnesota and Toronto, it appeared the White Sox were headed for the oblivion of [read more...]

Take Derrick Rose

So I come home to find out the Chicago Bulls, despite having a very low odds, actually winning the lottery. Here's my thinking on this. The Bulls have a roster full of guys who can play decent for someone else, but  together they pretty much stink. Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich should be traded as soon as possible. I think [read more...]

Spurs Win and A Brief Conference Finals Preview

So I get out of the Rush only to find out that the San Antonio Spurs won game 7 in New Orleans. Excuse me while I puke in the corner. This next part will be posted on www.411mania.com later this week, but here is a brief preview of the NBA Conference Finals. (1) Boston Celtics vs. (2) Detroit PistonsCeltics in 7: Until [read more...]
