Former LSU Tigers Hot Even in Cubs Loss
Ryan Theriot continued his hot spring training hitting going 2 for 3 and he was matched step for step by college team mate Mike Fontentot. The Cubs suffered their first loss of the spring as they faced the Padres and formerly coveted pitcher Jake Peavy.
Theriot is on a hot streak with six hits in just three games. He is tied with Micah Hoffapuir for the spring training lead. Fontenot is right behind with 5 knocks in four games. The Cubs are right near the top of the spring training standings as I would have expected. They mean nothing, but it is still nice to win games.
