Cubs Beat Brewers On Soriano’s Ninth Inning Homer

A Lot Can Change In A Year

Last year Chicago opened up at home in Wrigley Field  where it was cold and rainy.  This year, they open up on the road at Houston, where they closed the roof after the flyover, apparently because there was a chance of lightning and Lance Berkman was nervous. Cubs WBC Saturday Round Up

All four of the Cubs WBC teams were in action today.  Three of the four saw action themselves.  After four walks in his first game, Kosuke Fukudome managed a hit today in Japan's rout of Korea.  His team becomes the first to move on to the next round.  Ted Lilly didn't pitch, but USA won a close game against Canada.
