Theriot Homers Again…Lilly Drives in Two..Cubs WIN!

Cubs Drop Game Following Shutout

The Cubs had a bad habit in 2008 of losing every game following a shut out of their opponent.  The trend continues in 2009.  Following Ted Lilly's tremendous performance Monday, the Cubs lost 2-5 to the Rockies.  Rich Harden only went three innings and gave up four earned runs.  What was amazing to me was that he struck out eight.  [read more...]

A Lot Can Change In A Year

Last year Chicago opened up at home in Wrigley Field  where it was cold and rainy.  This year, they open up on the road at Houston, where they closed the roof after the flyover, apparently because there was a chance of lightning and Lance Berkman was nervous.
